One-netbook has introduced a new version of the ONEXPLAYER mini, albeit one that retains its overall design and 7-inch display. While the company calls the new device 'ONEXPLAYER mini Pro', it actually features a lower resolution display than previous ONEXPLAYER mini models. The inclusion of a Core i7-1260P and LPDDR5 RAM should deliver improved performance, though.

One-netbook has refreshed the ONEXPLAYER mini series, which started as an Intel Core i7-1195G7-powered machine. Subsequently, One-netbook presented an RX-78-2 Gundam special edition model with the Core i7-1260P, as well as AMD-powered models running the Ryzen 7 5800U. For one reason or another, One-netbook decided against selling the RX-78-2 Gundam special edition model globally.

However, the company has now effectively done so with the ONEXPLAYER mini Pro, albeit with a display resolution change. Specifically, One-netbook has decided to replace the 1,920 x 1,200-pixel display used in other ONEXPLAYER mini machines for a more conventional display running at 1,280 x 800-pixel. Still, the ONEXPLAYER mini Pro Theoretically, switching from a 1200p display to an 800p one would be a downgrade, but the Core i7-1260P powering the ONEXPLAYER mini Pro cannot play most triple-A games smoothly at 1200p, anyway.

According to our database, the Core i7-1260P outperforms the Core i7-1195G7 in CPU-heavy tasks. Both rely on Iris Xe Graphics G7 iGPUs with 96 Execution Units (EUs), though. In other words, do not expect a huge performance uplift from the ONEXPLAYER mini to the ONEXPLAYER mini Pro in games. The inclusion of LPDD5-5200 RAM should improve performance in some areas, compared to the LPDDR4x-4266 RAM in the original ONEXPLAYER mini.

Currently, the ONEXPLAYER mini Pro is pre-orderable from One-netbook for US$1,399 with 16 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage. Alternatively, the company offers the device with a 2 TB SSD and the same volume of RAM for US$1,589. It is worth noting that these are pre-sale prices though that will eventually rise to US$1,459 and US$1,649, respectively. Available in black or white finishes, the ONEXPLAYER mini Pro can also be ordered with a foldable Bluetooth keyboard or a black protective case for US$59 and US$29 surcharges. More details about the ONEXPLAYER mini Pro can be found on the company's website.
