The Xiaomi Magnetic Power Bank 5000 has appeared on the brand’s global website. This accessory was launched in China earlier this year. It is the second model to arrive on Xiaomi’s global site in recent weeks, following the Ultra Slim Power Bank 5000mAh.
The Magnetic Power Bank 5000 is designed for the iPhone 12 and later models, wirelessly charging the devices at up to 7.5W. There is also a two-way USB-C port, allowing you to charge a second gadget simultaneously; the maximum combined output is 10W. The USB-C port offers an up to 18W output and a maximum input of 20W, with a full recharge taking a little over two hours. As its name suggests, the model has a 5,000mAh capacity, which should allow you to fully charge an iPhone 15, according to Xiaomi. Other features include support for pass-through charging, LED indicators and NTC temperature control technology.
The power bank is compact, measuring 103.7 x 68.3 x 12 mm (~4.1 x 2.7 x 0.5 inches). It is unclear precisely when the Xiaomi Magnetic Power Bank 5000 will launch worldwide and at what price. As a guide, the accessory cost 129 yuan (~$18) at launch in China. In the meantime, you could consider competitor models like the Anker 621 Magnetic Battery (MagGo), currently available for $39.99 at Amazon.
