More details about the Galaxy Z Flip3 and its foldable display have leaked. The device will not only feature a more refined look than previous Galaxy Z Flip models, but it also may sport a new 'Round Diamond Pixel' display panel.

Ice Universe has revealed more details about the Galaxy Z Flip3, one of two foldable smartphones that Samsung is expected to launch this year. According to the renowned leaker, Samsung has equipped the device with bezels that do not exceed 3.8 mm, an improvement on those found in the Galaxy Z Flip or Galaxy Z Flip 5G.

Apparently, the bezels are not evenly sized, but they should still give the next Galaxy Z Flip a cleaner look than the current models. Additionally, Ice Universe asserts that Samsung has reduced the thickness of the metal frame with the Galaxy Z Flip3's too, to the extent that it does not look or feel like metal.

Incidentally, Samsung has filed multiple patents for 'Round Diamond Pixel' technology, as discovered by LetsGoDigital. The patent filings do not reveal many details about 'Round Diamond Pixel', but they do include a logo, as shown below.

In our opinion, Round Diamond Pixel builds on the Diamond Pixel technology that Samsung teased last year. Samsung positioned Diamond Pixel technology for foldable OLED displays, so it should follow that Round Diamond Pixel is an extension of that. It is unclear when or if Samsung plans to bring Round Diamond Pixel displays to market. Still, it seems more than a coincidence that it has trademarked the brand a few months ahead of the Galaxy Z Flip3 and Galaxy Z Fold3's anticipated release dates.
