Casio has finally made the GBD-200 series official. It features a high-contrast MIP LCD, step tracking, Bluetooth connectivity, and 20 bar water resistance. Two new models launch on October 17, and are priced at ¥25,300 (~$172) each.

Ahead of their first unofficial appearance back in July 2025, Casio has now confirmed the upcoming release of its new GBD-200 series watches. The new additions to the G-Squad line have one distinct feature - their high-contrast MIP (Memory-in-Pixel) LCD screens, which enhance their overall visibility over negative displays, especially outdoors or in direct sunlight.

The GBD-200 series will be available in multiple variants, including white (GBD-200-7JF) and black (GBD-200-1A1JF) resin models. These watches are equipped with features commonly used for training and daily activity, such as step tracking, distance measurement, and pace calculation. When paired with a smartphone via Bluetooth and the Casio Watches app, the series can automatically adjust the time, sync training logs, send notification alerts, and more. GPS data from the connected phone allows for precise distance calibration for running or walking sessions. Also, the watch stores up to 100 lap records and gives wearers full display customization for tracking time, speed, pace, and calories burned.

Other specifications include a resin case and band construction, 20 bar water resistance, and a battery life of about two years under normal use. The watches weigh around 58g and feature a glass-fiber-reinforced case, with an adjustable band suitable for wrist sizes from 145 to 215mm. Convenience features such as LED illumination, automatic calendar, and a full complement of alarms, timers, and power-saving modes are expectedly included.

The official launch is scheduled for October 2025, with a suggested retail price of ¥25,300 (~$172). Pre-orders will open for members starting October 17th, as visible in the screenshot below (translated from Japanese).
