The Minisforum MS-01 is the brand’s first mini workstation computer. It surfaced earlier this month, which revealed some of its key specs. Now, the mini PC is officially available for pre-orders with a starting price tag of $549.
Minisforum says it designed the MS-01 mini workstation PC for tech-savvy gamers who want a fast network and high performance at the same time. For meeting high-performance needs, this mini desktop comes with up to an Intel Core i9-13900H processor, with options for configuring the system with a Core i5-12450H or Core i9-12900H CPU.
The Core i9 variants bring 96EU Intel Iris Xe graphics. With it, the MS-01 mini PC aims to deliver flagship performance while handling tasks like video production and graphics processing. The mini workstation computer has two full-speed USB4 interfaces to address gaming needs. These can offer a transfer rate of up to 40 Gbps, allowing gamers to hook external GPUs with the system (Razer Thunderbolt 4 Dock curr. $283.12 on Amazon).
On that note, the Minisforum MS-01 mini computer has a rich set of ports, especially in the networking department. There are two 10G SFP+ ports, which can offer 10 Gbps of transfer speed. Also, the mini PC brings Thunderbolt networking bridge support and two 2.5G RJ45 ports. It even has a PCIe x16 slot, offering the flexibility to expand the USB and network interfaces.
Storage-wise, the MS-01 mini workstation computer has three M.2 slots and supports U.2 enterprise-grade SSDs. That suggests this Minisfourm mini PC has what it takes to meet the storage needs of creative professionals.
Regarding memory, the MS-01 mini PC can hold a maximum of 64 GB DDR5 RAM (Crucial 64 GB kit curr. $164 on Amazon). It also has a robust cooling setup featuring a high-speed, low-noise fan. Minisforum says this setup can ensure a stable performance at up to 80W.
