Maxtang has detailed the MTN-FP850, a small-sized mini PC that's powered by the AMD Strix Point and Hawk Point processors. To be specific, there are three configurations of the system, and the base model comes with the Ryzen 7 255, while the mid-end config packs the Ryzen 7 260.
As for the top-end configuration, it features the Ryzen AI 9 HX 370, a performance-focused CPU from the Strix Point lineup. While the former two feature the Radeon 780M iGPU, the high-end config has the Radeon 890M, which can smoothly handle modern AAA games.
All the configurations have a default TDP of 45 W, and Maxtang didn't go much into the cooling setup of the mini PC. The company did, however, share that users can equip the system with up to 96 GB of SO-DIMM DDR5 RAM, and there are two M.2 slots for NVMe SSDs (1 TB Samsung 990 Evo Plus curr. $69.99 on Amazon).
As for the port configuration, the Maxtang MTN-FP850 appears to have a pretty decent port selection for its size. To be precise, the mini PC has the following ports:
- 1x USB4
 - 2x USB 3.2 Type-A
 - 1x 10 Gbps USB 3.2 Type-C
 - 1x DisplayPort 2.1
 - 1x HDMI 2.1
 - 2x 2.5G Ethernet
 - 1x 3.5 mm audio

Thanks to the USB4 port, users can pair the mini PC with an eGPU for a better gaming experience. There's no wireless card installed, but the MTN-FP850 has a dedicated M.2 2230 slot for one. Other highlights include triple-display output support, a simple design, and a lightweight build. Maxtang has yet to reveal the pricing and availability details.
