MSI introduces the 7-inch WindPad Enjoy 7

The Android-based Tablet PC will not make an appearance at the Computex show but is expected to go on sale very soon

According to a report by Notebook Italia, MSI is set to launch a 7-inch Android-based Tablet PC dubbed WindPad Enjoy 7. It is peculiar though that the device was not even mentioned in the company’s recent press release concerning its upcoming tablets.

Configuration

Reportedly, this particular WindPad will be powered by an ARM Cortex A8 central processing that features one core clocked at 1.2GHz. Furthermore, it will be equipped with a 7-inch widescreen display. The capacitive multi-touch enabled panel has a maximum supported resolution of 800-by-480 pixels.

The Enjoy 7 supposedly houses 512MB of internal DDR3 memory and 4GB of storage space, which can be expanded up to 32GB via an SD card. In addition, users can take advantage of the typical selection of sensors including an accelerometer, digital compass and an ambient light sensor.

Connectivity

Thanks to the integrated Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n and Bluetooth 2.1 modules, customers will be able to stay connected. The Android-based Tablet PC also comes with an HDMI interface, USB connectivity, a card reader slot. A built-in 2MP web camera is available for video conferencing.

Other specs

MSI’s WindPad Enjoy 7 will reportedly ship with a pre-installed Gingerbread Google Android 2.3 operating system. Moreover, the device weighs less than 0.9 lbs with the integrated 4700mAh battery.

Unfortunately, there is still no word on pricing or availability yet.
