MSI announces new CR460 Sandy Bridge notebook

Teaser
14” laptop will come with Core i3 or i5 Sandy Bridge processor options and a supposed "wallet-friendly" price

In a press release today, MSI has announced a new addition to their C-series of  notebooks. With the label of “top-end equipment at friendly prices”, the CR460 packs some Huron River processor magic along with the rest of the usual suspects.

The MSI CR460 notebook comes with the option of either a Core i3-2310M or Core i5-2410M Intel processor along with Integrated Intel HD 3000 graphics. The 14” laptop will also come with a 1366x768 pixel native resolution and a hard-drive with 320GB, 500GB or 640GB of space.  MSI is also adding a 720p HD webcam, SRS audio, HDMI, VGA and optional USB and Bluetooth 3.0.

As far as design goes, MSI has outfitted the CR460 with a color film print along the chassis and palm rest to match up with the Chiclet style keyboard and nickel-plated touchpad keys. Other MSI goodies include facial recognition, i-Charger technology and ECO Engine power-saving software to better utilize the 6-cell battery.

Interestingly enough, MSI has made it a point to specify that the CR460 is “now available at wallet-friendly prices” but failed to include any mention of pricing or release. Furthermore, there doesn’t appear to be any listings for the “now-available” notebook anywhere online (including MSI’s online shop), so we await further word from the company.
