MSI’s latest attempt on an Android tablet is now up for pre-order for $600 and looks quite spectacular on papers. The 10.1” Windpad 110W was first showed off during the CeBIT in Germany earlier this year, and although it is a new device, a similar tablet called the WIndpad 100W is already available worldwide.
We have to say MSI tried to give it all they could. The 10.1” display panel has a sharp resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels which is much better than your same sized netbooks that often come with a pale 1024 x 600 pixels resolution.
It’s all AMD underneath with the AMD Z01 dual-core processor doing the duty along with an AMD Radeon HD 6250 graphics chip. The Z01 has a clock speed of 1GHz and based on Desna architecture. This Z-series is expected to be replaced by more advanced Hondo-based processors. The other part of this fusion APU i.e. the HD 6250 graphics chip (codenamed Zacate) is an integrated card with very limited 3D graphics capabilities. Don’t go installing those newer games with demanding graphics.
Apart from that you get,
· 4GB of DDR3 RAM
· 32GB SDD (mSATA)
· 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0
