Model: The MSI GL62M 7REX-125CN operates on Microsoft Windows 10 Home 64 Bit and runs on an Intel Core i7-7700HQ (Intel Core i7) processor, which greatly enhances a user’s gaming experience, and makes the laptop run more smoothly. The CPU can be as fast as the high clocked dual-core CPUs (using single threaded applications), with the advantage of offering 4 cores. However, due to the large TDP of 45 W / 55 W, the CPU is only intended to be operated on large laptops. The quad-core notebook processor is also based on the Kaby Lake architecture. The chips also integrate the HD Graphics 630 GPU and is built on an improved 14 nm process that makes it run more smoothly and absorbs low energy consumption. The GL62M 7REX-1252CN comes with a very modest Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 Ti, which makes it better and faster in playing games and watching videos. The mainstream graphics card that is based on Nvidia’s Pascal architecture and successor to the GeForce GTX 965M, enables users to play modern and demanding games, smoothly in a medium detailed setting and HD resolution. This is mostly sufficient for most gamers out there.

It has a large display of 15.6-inch IPS panel with an aspect ratio of 16:9, and a FHD resolution of 1.920 x 1.080 pixels and 141 PPI. Its black, metal body is 2.34 kg in weight, and has a dimension of 38.80 cm x 26.00 cm x 1.50 cm. It runs on a 8 GB of LPDDR4 RAM at 2400 MHz, whilst its internal storage is a 1 TB HDD accompanied with a 128 SSD for faster startup and launches. Even for a gaming laptop, the MSI GL62M 7REX-1252CN has a pretty bad battery life. It will only last for about 4-5 hours of standby time. It is hardly possible to finish a game then on this battery. The MSI GL62M 7REX-1252CN’s connections range up to 2 x USB 3.0, 1 x USB 2.0, SD card Slot, Mini HDMI Port, 3.5 mm Headset jack, DC Jack, 1x Type-C port, 1x Mini DP Port, and 1 RJ45. The best features of this MSI GL62M 7REX-1252CN, are its body-build and design, and the available features that are provided in this device. It also has a single 720 pixel front-facing camera. MSI has been doing very well in the gaming notebook segment lately and is definitely showing a lot of its capability in this segment. With laptops like the GL62M, it brings gaming laptops to the more affordable segment of the market. Besides, not all gamers need the ultra-high spec-ed laptops that can cost a bomb.
