Juno Computer's new Saturn 17 v5 notebook is now available to order with a 17.3-inch 2K display, Intel Core i7-13620H processor and either Nvidia Geforce RTX 4050, RTX 4060 or RTX 4070 (laptop versions).

Juno Computers is a British hardware manufacturer specialising in notebooks, mini-PCs and tablets running the free Linux operating system. The company is best known for its Juno Tab 2 Linux tablet. Now the company is launching the 17-inch Saturn 17 v5 notebook, which comes pre-installed with either Ubuntu Linux 22.04 LTS ("long-term support") or Ubuntu 23.10.

The Saturn 17 v5 uses the Intel Core i7-13620H mobile CPU from the Raptor Lake generation with 10 cores (6 performance and 4 efficiency cores) and 16 threads, a maximum turbo boost of 4.90 GHz for the performance cores, 24 MB Intel Smart Cache and Intel UHD Graphics as the integrated graphics unit. In addition to the Intel iGPU, the dedicated graphics are either an Nvidia Geforce RTX 4050 laptop with 6GB of GDDR6 video memory or the laptop versions of the RTX 4060 or RTX 4070 with 8GB of GDDR6 VRAM each.

The Juno Computers Saturn 17 v5 can be ordered with 16GB, 32GB or even 64GB of 3,200MHz dual-channel SODIMM memory. In addition, an M.2 NVMe SSD can be configured with either 512GB, 1TB or 2TB based on the PCIe 4.0 standard. A second M.2 slot can also be equipped with an SSD.

The matte 17.3-inch screen has a resolution of 2,560 x 1,440 pixels (QHD or 1440p) with a maximum refresh rate of 165 Hz. Unfortunately, the manufacturer's website does not mention the type of panel, but it is said to be a Wide Viewing Angle (WVA) panel. An Intel Wi-Fi 6E AX211 M.2 card is installed for wireless connectivity.

Prices and availability

Juno Computers Saturn 17 v5 is also available with other keyboard layouts (e.g. German, Spanish, French, Italian) in addition to the US keyboard, and starts at USD 1,399 / £1,349 plus shipping in the base configuration with Geforce RTX 4050, 16GB RAM and 512GB M.2 SSD.
