LG teases PuriCare Objet Collection Aero Furniture ahead of IFA 2022 showcase
LG has introduced PuriCare Objet Collection Aero Furniture, an air purifier that the company will exhibit next month at IFA 2022 in Berlin. For context, IFA 2022 runs between September 2 through September 6, tickets for which you can still purchase online. Billed by LG has 'opening [a] new era of personal tastes, PuriCare Objet Collection Aero Furniture is a series of tables with air purifiers built into their bases. Incidentally, PuriCare Objet Collection Aero Furniture succeeds the PuriCare Objet Collection AeroTower, which LG presented in January at CES 2022.
It is worth noting that LG is not the only company to release an air purifier-cum-table. For example, IKEA already sells the Starkvind, a conventional-looking side table with a well hidden air purifier. Not only can the air purifier be adjusted with a controller on the Starkvind itself, it can also be controlled via Amazon Alexa, Apple HomeKit or Google Assistant, thanks to Ikea's Trådfri gateway.
Similarly, PuriCare Objet Collection Aero Furniture supports the LG ThinQ app, which supports integrations with Amazon Alexa, Apple HomeKit and Google Assistant too. Unsurprisingly, PuriCare Objet Collection Aero Furniture contains LG's UVnano technology, which is also found in it TONE Free earbuds. According to LG, UVnano technology kills 99.99% of bacteria and viruses, albeit only if they come into contact with the air purifier. Likewise, each model has small LED indicators that can show air quality levels.
Furthermore, LG has integrated Qi wireless charging pads, allowing you to recharge most smartphones at up to 10 W and various Apple iPhone models at up to 7.5 W. LG has not revealed pricing or availability yet, although we imagine that the company will provide more details next month at IFA 2022.
