Honor is gearing up to launch the Honor 400 series, which will bring one mid-range and one upper mid-range phone. The full unveiling is set for May 22, 2025, and days ahead of the launch, the company has revealed an AI-powered feature that will be available on the upcoming smartphones.
Per Honor, this AI-powered feature is powered by Google Cloud, and it can convert images to videos. The company describes that the feature works with real-life photos, artworks, old photos, and even AI-generated pictures. As for the generated videos, they will be 5 seconds long, which Honor describes as perfect for social media sharing.
The company hints that this is one of the many AI-powered features of the Honor 400 series. For these, the company asserts that the upcoming phones will stand among the best AI camera smartphones at their respective price points.
Regarding the phones themselves, the upcoming series is expected to introduce the Honor 400 and 400 Pro. Among the two, the former will reportedly feature the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3, a 6.55-inch AMOLED screen with a 120 Hz refresh rate, and a 200 MP primary camera on the back.
As for the Honor 400 Pro, it's expected to pack the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, the last-gen flagship SoC. It will reportedly sport a 6.7-inch display with a 120 Hz refresh rate and a 200 MP primary camera with OIS. Both smartphones will reportedly feature a 5,300 mAh battery, with the Pro variant having 100 W wired fast charging support (100 W Anker Prime charger curr. $69.99 on Amazon). The rumored price for the two are €499, around $560, and €799, about $897, respectively. Honor is expected to share more details in the coming days.
