If you would like to imagine how a Galaxy Z Flip paired with iOS could look, then you should have a look here. While a foldable iPhone is probably a long way off yet, an iPhone Flip, or an iPhone 12 Flip, is already a reality. Digitally at least, anyway.

Foldable smartphones are all the rage now, with Huawei and Samsung leading the charge to bring the technology to the masses. While other companies like LG, Microsoft, and arguably Xiaomi with the Mi Mix Alpha, are dipping their toes into unconventional smartphone designs, Apple remains resolute with releasing candybar smartphones.

However, one concept designer has imagined what a foldable iPhone could look like. Currently viewed by over 1.3 million people, the short video shows what looks like a Galaxy Z Flip running iOS at first. However, then the device opens to reveal an elongated and notch-free interior display. The concept has a large secondary display on the outside of the device, too.

One fun touch is the inclusion of Face ID on the front display, the camera for which also doubles as a rear-facing sensor. It should go without saying that this design will never make it market. However, it is a fun glimpse at what a foldable iPhone could look like. We doubt Apple will release such a device before 2021, though. There have been no suggestions or leaks that that effect, at any rate.
