Elden Ring patch 1.04 rolled out with multiple balance changes and QoL improvements
Elden Ring patch 1.04 is now live across PC, Xbox Series S|X and PlayStation 4/5. The patch brings forth a laundry list of changes that significantly buff some builds and nerfs others. Colossal sword/weapons enthusiasts benefit a lot, as the patch has increased their two-handed damage across the board and also the physical block rate.
The list of changes is quite long and can be found in its entirety on the game's official website. Elden Ring patch 1.04 also lets you switch "auto camera rotate" off, which can be helpful in some encounters that require precise camera control. Lastly, recurring Soulsborne NPC Patches also gets new dialogues.
Hoarfrost Stomp, an in-game spell abused by speedrunners in the early days, had been nerfed heavily in a previous patch. A slew of bug fixes and minor QoL improvements are also included, including ones that affect online gameplay. Once the Elden Ring patch 1.04 has been installed, one needs to level up their character or reequip any item that gives a stat bonus for the changes to take effect.
