Casio has officially unveiled the ABL-100WEPC-1B Pac-Man edition watch in the US with Bluetooth connectivity, step tracking, dual-time display, and modern features for daily use. The watch will be purchasable in Jan 2025.

Casio has introduced the ABL-100WEPC-1B Pac-Man edition watch to its US market. The watch, part of a special collaboration, celebrates two milestones: Pac-Man’s 45th anniversary in 2025 and Casio’s 50 years of crafting timepieces. The new model has elements of both nostalgia and practicality.

The ABL-100WEPC-1B pays homage to the iconic 80s arcade game with a retro-inspired design. The black watch face features a monochromatic “game-screen” style, showcasing PAC-MAN characters as if frozen in their classic maze chase. While maintaining a sharp, minimal look, the design includes subtle details like the Pac-Man logo engraved on the clasp and case back. Even the packaging mirrors the arcade theme.

Beyond its visual appeal, Casio has equipped the ABL-100WEPC-1B with a host of practical features. The watch offers Bluetooth connectivity, allowing users to sync it with the Casio Watches smartphone app. This enables automatic time adjustment, easy customization of settings, and step-count tracking - which is another neat feature. Steps recorded on the watch can be transferred and monitored on the app. Additionally, the watch has dual-time display, a countdown timer, and five daily alarms.

The watch is powered by a battery with an approximate lifespan of two years and comes with a resin and chrome-plated body. It also includes LED backlighting for low-light readability and maintains basic water resistance, although the product page doesn't mention the exact bar rating.

Considering its step-count sensor, Bluetooth compatibility, and distinctive Pac-Man-inspired design, the ABL-100WEPC-1B would work as both a fashion statement and a daily companion. The timepiece will be available to purchase in January, as mentioned on Casio’s US website.
