Casio on Tuesday unveiled a trio of analog-digital watches under the new G-Shock GMA-P2100PC series. The new lineup primarily caters to women and features a compact form factor and beautiful polarized color dials. The three watches include the Black GMA-P2100PC-1A, Rose Pink GMA-P2100PC-4A, and White GMA-P2100PC-7A.
The dials are the real showstoppers here. Casio says each dial has a color-shifting polarizing layer that changes hue and brilliance as you tilt your wrist, mimicking the way sunlight dances across ocean waves. The glossy-coated indexes add to the overall sparkle, while a matte-finished bezel and band offer subtle contrast, giving the whole design a balanced look.
The G-Shock GMA-P2100PC trims down the original GA-2100 design for smaller wrists. In addition, Casio has also shortened the strap length slightly so the watch remains “comfortable to wear even for those with thin wrists.”
Under the hood, it’s classic G-Shock. All three models are shock-resistant and water-resistant up to 200 meters. Battery life is rated at up to three years, and you’ll also find a suite of practical watch features: world time (48 cities across 31 time zones), a stopwatch, a countdown timer, five alarms with hourly chime, a fully automatic calendar, and a built-in LED light.
The new G-Shock GMA-P2100PC series is launching first in Japan. Priced at ¥18,700, it’s scheduled to go on sale sometime in July. There’s no word on the US and Europe availability just yet, but we expect to hear more on that in the coming weeks.
