Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl is getting a major 1.5 update from GSC Game World. The studio is emphasizing a tougher, more realistic gameplay.
As Videogamer reports, the main feature of the incoming update is the partial reloading system for weapons. The current version forces players to reload after switching weapons, even mid-reload. The new patch fixes this by allowing the weapon to remember progress, adding realism and improving the battle's dynamics.
The update improves ammunition balance for machine guns and sniper rifles, enhancing gameplay for hardcore survival fans in the Zone. It also enhances performance around hiding spots and interactive objects, introduces an auto-detection button for graphics, and resolves issues with ultra-wide monitors.
Additionally, the first version of the Zone Kit modding tool, a comprehensive SDK for creating mods, is launching. Development continues with community collaboration; update 1.5 is set to release in late June.
In parallel, the team is working on story additions. They will offer new perspectives on the Zone, including those that have not been explored in the series before.
