Bosch has announced a range of innovations for its 2026 eBike Systems. Designed for electric mountain bikes, these new features are said to bring enhanced performance and smart features to riders.
First up is the Perfomance Line CX-R drive unit, offering up to 100 Nm torque and 750W power. Race mode is said to provide faster acceleration, and the new eMTB+ mode is designed for trail riding. Plus, there are walk assistance and hill start assist features with Hill Hold to ensure you do not roll back unexpectedly. Bosch describes it as lightweight, with a titanium crank handle, ceramic ball bearings and a space gray magnesium casing.
Another innovation is the Kiox 400C display, designed to be integrated into a bike top tube or handlebar. The 2-inch color display can show a range of information like navigation, speed, elevation and distance travelled. The displayed data can intelligently adapt to the situation, reflecting if you are climbing a hill or at a standstill. Alternatively, you can manually select the data screen of your choice.
An ambient light sensor allows for automatic brightness adjustments, and further settings are available in the eBike Flow app. On top of this, there is an integrated USB-C port allowing you to charge your smartphone or another small device as you ride. Other developments for the 2026 Bosch eBike Systems include M+ for eShift and Bosch eBike ABS Pro. The first electric mountain bikes to feature these innovations are expected to launch in the fall of 2025.
