Best Buy offering Lenovo B560 and IdeaPad Z565 and V560 notebooks
Through a press release this Friday, Lenovo announced it will begin offering three budget-line laptops in Best Buy stores starting Sunday, April 3. This marks the first time that consumer level Lenovo notebooks will appear in Best Buy.
“Personal technology fits uniquely within a customer’s lifestyle, and today’s consumers who are wanting to see, touch and feel a PC in order to find their perfect fit can now find Lenovo models across the U.S. at Best Buy locations,” explains representative David Bent of Lenovo North America.
According to Lenovo, the available models will be the B560, IdeaPad Z565, and IdeaPad V560, the latter of which will be a Best Buy exclusive. All models will carry a 15.6-inch 1366x768 resolution LED display.
The B560 will be coming in at just under 5 pounds and will feature a built-in webcam. A 2.13GHz Intel Pentium P6200 will power the laptop along with 2GB RAM and integrated Intel GMA HD graphics. Additionally, the laptop will be equipped with security features such as a “one swipe fingerprint reader” and the OneKey Rescue System for data backup and recovery. The current Best Buy online site lists this notebook for $379.
The IdeaPad Z565 will be a bit more powerful with its AMD Phenom II Dual-core processor and Dolby Advanced Audio features. Unfortunately, other specifications are unknown as this model has yet to appear in the Best Buy online store as of this writing.
Lastly, the IdeaPad V560 will offer a 2.53GHz Core i3-380M processor with 4GB RAM and Intel GMA HD graphics. More interestingly, the laptop will come with 4G WiMAX compatibility. The aforementioned fingerprint reader and OneKey Rescue System will also be found here, all for $549.
To encourage shoppers, Best Buy will offer free shipping on all Lenovo models until April 30th. During this time period, Reward Zone members who purchase a Lenovo laptop will also receive double the points.
