Lenovo to unveil a 23" tablet this year?

Teaser
Lenovo might be planning to venture at a size no one has ever thought of putting in

In a computing world where people have gone smaller and smaller with size, Lenovo decides to take the opposite route. 23 inches is a display size we generally reserve for desktop monitors, but at least not for a handheld. Well, try telling that to Lenovo because the Chinese computer giant reportedly is planning to bring a massive 23” tablet to the market. As reported by Physorg, it was during the 2011 Gadget live show where William Cai, senior specialist in marketing at Lenovo shared the info.

Not much info was shared though, including the pricing and release date, but the launch might be pushed till the later second half of this year.

A tablet as large as 23” will pose exactly the opposite problems of that of a tablet too small to hold. One of the biggest advantages of this form factor is the large bright screen, which ideally should also give you the worst battery life nightmares. Holding the tablet with one hand while typing or browsing net with the other will be another problem. Typing messages or mails without keeping it on a surface will be a challenge. All of these makes us believe that Lenovo might be looking at a convertible more than a regular tablet, which will give it a great screen to enjoy your movies and video games, at the same time making it easier to type with the keyboard on-board. But forget portability and battery life unless Lenovo has something really magical inside that hat.
