Deal | Apple's 13-inch M4 MacBook Air dropped to lowest price ever on Amazon

The M4 MacBook Air from Apple is, in the eyes of many, the best all-around consumer laptop available on the market. The laptop represents a good value considering the battery life, specs, and portability it offers, and today's sale makes that value even stronger. 

The M4 MacBook Air is currently on sale at Amazon for its lowest price ever: $799 for the base 13-inch model with 16 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. Bumping the storage to 512 GB pops the price to $999 (also its historic low), while upgrading the RAM and storage to 24 GB and 512 GB, respectively, pushes the price up to $1199. While this fully upgraded model is not at its lowest-ever price, it is only $20.86 more than this lowest price.

The M-series MacBook Airs have been wildly popular with consumers due to its long battery life and highly efficient performance. The M4 MacBook Air increased the base RAM to 16 GB, an upgrade that had long been requested by users. 

The laptop received a 91% in our review, owing primarily to its great build quality, silent operation, and long runtimes. There are some shortcomings when it comes to the MacBook Air 13, however. Chief among these is the lack of I/O; the laptop has only two USB-C ports and a MagSafe connection for power. Additionally, the MacBook uses only soldered components. As such, there is no option to upgrade any of the hardware or internals. Still, as an overall package, the MacBook Air with M4 remains a solid option for general consumers.
