Apple Fitness+ expanded with Collections, Time to Run and more
Apple has expanded its Fitness+ subscription service with four new features. Announced late last week, the features are now available across Apple's ecosystem. In a Newsroom post, Apple explains that it has added Collections, Time to Run, plus a third season of Time to Walk and additional Artist Spotlight workouts.
At launch, Time to Run will offer three episodes based in Brooklyn, London and Miami Beach. While that does not sound like a lot, Apple has committed to releasing a new Time to Run episode weekly on Mondays. Each episode will focus on a popular running route and will feature music playlists curated by Fitness+ trainers. By contrast, Collections is a curated series of meditations and workouts designed to help people reach their goals. The following six Collections will be available from today:
- 30-Day Core Challenge
- Improve Your Posture with Pilates
- Perfect Your Yoga Balance Poses
- Run Your First 5K
- Strengthen and Stretch Your Back and Hips
- Wind Down for a Better Bedtime
Currently, a Fitness+ subscription is available for US$9.99 per month or US$79.99 annually. Alternatively, you can access Fitness+ through the Apple One Premier plan, which retails for US$29.95 per month. The plan, which you can share with six family members, also includes Apple Music, Apple TV+, Apple Arcade, Apple News+, and iCloud+ with 2TB of storage.
