An update has arrived for the recently released Amazfit Helio Strap, according to early user reports. This fitness-tracking wearable was launched globally on June 24th, and it appears that three more versions are on the way.
According to the release notes for software version 3.0.2.2, this 2.24 MB file brings two changes to the Helio Strap. Firstly, the sleep algorithm is said to have been optimized, with Amazfit suggesting that sleep detection is now more accurate. The second major change is that the heart rate broadcast feature is now enabled by default. According to the company, this should make it easier to connect the Helio Strap to other devices, like a smartwatch, allowing you to view heart rate data in real time.
Finally, the change log states that there are other feature enhancements and bug fixes without providing further details. Version Number 3.0.2.2 for the Amazfit Helio Strap will be available to install via the Zepp app. It is likely to be available for customers to download when new users set up the wearable. As a reminder, this new wearable is currently available for $99.99 at Amazon.
