AMD is allegedly preparing non-X variants of its Zen 4 Ryzen 9 7900X, Ryzen 7 7700X, and Ryzen 5 7600X CPUs. The SKUs which include the Ryzen 9 7900, the Ryzen 7 7700, and the Ryzen 5 7600 are rumored to debut next year, at considerably cheaper prices than their X-series counterparts.

Details about the non-X Ryzen 7000 processors have been slowly coming out over the past months. We previously reported that a Ryzen 5 7600 had visited SiSoftware Sandra Benchmark revealing possible hardware specifications and performance. Similarly, the Ryzen 7 7700 also paid Geekbench a visit where the chip proved to be 5% behind in single-threaded and 11% slower in multi-threaded workloads vs the Ryzen 7 7700X.

Now, the latest information from Twitter leaker chi11eddog has shed some more light on the purported clock speeds, release dates, and price points of the incoming processors.

According to chi11eddog, the Ryzen 5 7600 will reportedly have a reduced boost clock of 5.1 GHz compared to the 5.3 GHz of the Ryzen 5 7600X. However, based on other reports, both CPUs share the same core configuration and cache size so performance shouldn’t take a massive hit at least in theory. Finally, the Ryzen 5 7600 will also allegedly have a lower TDP of 65 W.

Moving on to the 8-core, 16-thread Ryzen 7 7700, the leaker mentions the chip will have a max boost frequency of 5.3 GHz and a TDP of 65 W. If true, the non-X part will have a 100 MHz lower boost clock vs the Ryzen 7 7700X while, once again, preserving the cache size and core count.

Lastly, the 12-core, 24-thread Ryzen 9 7900 will apparently feature a 5.4 GHz max boost frequency which is 200 MHz lower than the Ryzen 9 7900X. Like other non-X Ryzen 7000 processors, the Ryzen 9 7900 could have a conservative 65 W TDP vs 170 W for the Ryzen 9 7900X.

Price and release date information

Per chi11eddog, the Ryzen 5 7600, the Ryzen 7 7700, and the Ryzen 9 7900 will release sometime in Q1 2023 at cut-down prices of US$229, US$329, and US$429 respectively. These purported MSRPs represent savings of US$70, US$70, and a massive US$120 for the 6-core, 8-core, and 12-core chips over the respective X-series Ryzen 7000 SKUs.
