Tianbao, known as AOOSTAR in the international market, has previewed a brand-new graphics card dock. It supports USB 4 and Oculink, making it perfect for the upcoming AOOSTAR Pro 7 and recently debuted Minisforum UM780 XTX mini PCs.

AOOSTAR, known as Tianbao in China, has showcased a new graphics card dock. It will be landing on the Chinese market on November 25 alongside the AOOSTAR Pro 7 and other mini PCs. Thanks to featuring USB 4 and Oculink interfaces, it’s a perfect external GPU solution for mini PCs, notebooks, and handheld gaming devices.

As for the graphics card support, the dock has a PCIe 4.0 slot. That means it can handle all the modern GPUs. And for featuring the Oculink interface, the dock should deliver better performance than USB 4 solutions. To be exact, according to a recent test with the Minisforum UM780 XTX and Nvidia RTX 4090, there’s only around 10.5% performance loss.

In comparison, USB 4/Thunderbolt graphics card docks generally see around 20% performance loss. Besides, as per the preview, the new AOOSTAR graphics card dock has a metal body and features a sleek black color coating on the exterior.
