A new Wolfenstein game has been mentioned by MachineGames

Wolfenstein is a franchise that has enjoyed huge success around the world, thanks to its unique universe and astonishing storyline. But while the latest game of the license was released in 2019, MachineGames has recently hinted at a new Wolfenstein game.

It has to be said that this license has seduced many gamers around the world by combining intense gameplay and a universe that touches everyone. And needless to say that fans are eagerly awaiting the announcement of a new title.

On this subject, a documentary was made by Noclip, detailing the history of this franchise by analyzing the games The New Order and The New Colossus. But one of the highlights of this documentary comes at the end, when Jerk Gustafsson talks about the future of this franchise, saying the following: 

"I think this is important to say, because we have always seen this as a trilogy,. So that journey, for B.J., even during those first weeks at id when we mapped out New Order, we still had the plan for, at least, that character; What will happen in the second one, what will happen in the third one. I think that’s important to say, because – at least, I hope – that we’re not done with Wolfenstein yet. We have a story to tell."

Thus, as you may have guessed, a new Wolfenstein game could well see the light of day. However, no official announcement has yet been made by the studio, but it's possible that news will appear in the weeks or months to come.

As a reminder, a series based on Wolfenstein is currently in development at Amazon by the producer of Fallout. And it could also appeal to fans of the franchise.
