A leaker finds signs of a Ryzen 7 5800H-powered Lenovo Legion 5 with Radeon RX 6600M graphics
Lenovo has released the Legion 5 Gen 6 AMD with the Ryzen 7 5800H and RTX 3060 to 3070 graphics to the US market already. Now, it is possible all-AMD SKUs of this laptop might emerge alongside them soon. The tipster Rogame has found what is described as a "Lenovo 82NW" with the processor in question and 8GB of the GPU allegedly involved.
According to its new leak, it has apparently achieved decent results on UserBenchmark, albeit mostly due to its Ryzen platform. Then again, the GPU itself seeems to have elicited average-beating scores in 3D DX10 scores (at 120fps).
Nevertheless, there are indications that their RTX-equipped Legion counterparts would be more powerful. On the other hand, RX 6600M alternatives could work out cheaper.
Meanwhile, Videocardz has posted what looks like an official specs sheet for the 7 5800H/RX 6600M Legion 5. It lists 165Hz display options in WQHD or FHD flavors, up to 32GB of DDR4-3200 RAM and 1TB NVMe SSDs.
Currently, Ryzen 7 5800H Legion 5 Gen 6 AMDs start out at ~US$1,050 for its latest RTX 3050 Ti-enabled option, and go up to ~US$1,700 for a top-end 7 5800H/RTX 3070 version. Hopefully, this putative new 100% AMD option might fit somewhere in the middle.
