8BitDo has begun teasing a new wireless controller that it will be releasing later this month. A collaboration with miHoYo and Honkai: Star Rail, the new controller will feature unique motifs to celebrate an upcoming Honkai: Star Rail game update.

8BitDo is on a roll with new wireless controller launches lately. For context, the company has released the 8BitDo 64, Ultimate 3-mode Rare 40th Anniversary Edition and the Pro 3 over the summer. On top of that, it has refreshed its Ultimate 2 wireless controller several times with multiple colours and for different systems.

To recap, Green, Yellow and Wuchang: Fallen Feathers editions (curr. $64.99 on Amazon) of the Ultimate 2 now exist on top of the controller's original colourways. Now, 8BitDo has begun teasing a new collaboration with developers miHoYo and its game Honkai: Star Rail. A free-to-play RPG, Honkai: Star Play has been available across Android, iOS, PlayStation 5 and Windows for some time.

Nonetheless, 8BitDo has waited until the introduction of the Evernight character to offer a Honkai: Star Rail tie-in with one of its wireless controllers. From the looks of things, the controller in question is the Ultimate 2 with an Honkai: Star Rail-customised purple aesthetic. Unfortunately, 8BitDo is being rather secretive for now about what it has in store. While 8BitDo will announce its new controller on September 12, Evernight will not become playable in Honkai: Star Rail until two weeks later.
