3 new Xbox special edition controllers leaked to be on their way, preorders to open early September

Xbox’s next special-edition gamepads may be a three-model "Breaker" series slated for early September, according to a new leak shared by @billbil-kun via Dealabs Magazine. The line reportedly includes Heartbreaker, Stormbreaker, and Icebreaker variants, all priced at 79.99 in euros or dollars and 74.99 in pounds, with a global release targeted for September 9 and preorders expected to open around September 3.
Design-wise, the trio is described as riffing on stylized, glass- or leaf-like patterns rather than standard solids. The Heartbreaker variant has bold purples and pinks with turquoise accents, Stormbreaker has a monochrome white/grey/black mix like the Arctic Camo design, and Icebreaker has a deep blue/turquoise fade. The Breaker series could also be offered through Xbox Design Lab, the source states.
The leak also iterates that this will be a routine retail rollout across Microsoft Store and major regional partners like Amazon, Fnac, and Micromania, just like how past Special Edition pads have been distributed. Pricing will also be similar to other recent limited controllers, which typically list at a premium over basic colors but below controllers like the Elite Series 2 Core (curr. $154 on Amazon).
While final images weren’t shared by the source for legal reasons, the new colorways give us a solid idea of how the new controllers are going to look like. We can also expect similar materials and surface treatments as past special-edition controllers, given Xbox’s consistent manufacturing approach with the recent ones.
If the leak holds weight, we just have to wait for an official announcement in the first week of September, fast-followed by preorders and a release on September 9. As always with limited colorways, early orders are advisable to avoid post-launch markups.
