The South Korean PC manufacturer, Samsung has just announced in a press release that it is expanding its Galaxy Tab range with yet another tablet, dubbed Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0). The device will reportedly be first introduced in the United Kingdom in March of this year.

The upcoming Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) will be based on Android’s 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system and will be equipped with a 7-inch touchscreen display that offers the new Samsung PLS-LCD technology for improved viewing angles and has a native resolution of 1024-by-600 pixels. Furthermore, the slate packs a central processing unit with two cores clocked at 1GHz.

Samsung’s new tablet houses 1GB of internal memory and 8GB/16GB/32GB of storage. Under the hood, the Tab 2 (7.0) comes with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and HSPA+ antennas accompanied by A-GPS support and two built-in cameras – a rear-facing 3MP one and a 1.3MP front-facing web camera. In addition, users will reportedly be able to take advantage of the company’s latest TouchWiz UI, a new feature called Samsung S Suggest for app recommendations and a content-sharing service “available for the first time on any Samsung mobile device” dubbed AllShare Play.

Unfortunately, there is still no word on pricing and a North American release date.
