The slate is reportedly exclusively available at Carphone Warehouse with a starting price of £399

Notebookcheck reported live from the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas back in January on Toshiba’s new ultrathin AT200 Excite tablet, which is the successor to the Toshiba AT100. The slate is yet to be released in the USA, but if you live in the UK, you can now purchase it from Carphone Warehouse. Reportedly, the two available 16GB and 32GB models will be Wi-Fi only (no 3G).

The tablet packs a dual-core Texas Instruments OMAP 4430 CPU with a clock frequency of 1.2GHz and has a 10.1-inch multi-touch display (1280-by-800 pixels). In addition, the AT200 houses 1GB of internal memory, a micro-SD card slot, mini-USB and mini-HDMI ports.

Further features of Toshiba’s new Excite X10 tablet include an Android 3.2 Honeycomb operating system, thickness of just 7.62mm (0.3in) and a weight of about 545grams (1.2lbs) . The manufacturer will supposedly try to update the pre-installed OS to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich before the US release.

Price starts at £399 for the 16GB model, but if your heart is set on the 32GB version, then you need to be prepared to pay a total of £549.
