The Toshiba AT300SE 10.1-inch Android tablet will be one of the latest releases for the giant Japanese electronics multinational to try and steal some of the tablet thunder away from rivals such as Apple and Samsung.
So what does yet another tablet on the market have to offer its potential customers? The specifications for the Toshiba AT300SE are: 10.1-inch IPS LCD screen (1280x800), a quad-core Nvidia Tegra 3 processor, 1 GB RAM and 16 GB of on board storage.
Clearly with hardware like that, the Toshiba AT300SE is not out to blast the rest of the market into oblivion. But with a price tag that is being advertised by the Japanese manufacturer as £299.99 in the UK (~$475), clearly Toshiba have their eye on users who are tempted to dabble with purchasing a tablet but find the often hefty prices of such devices off-putting.
The tablet comes with the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS which is certainly a boon, as who doesn't love Android? Expect a European-wide release sometime in the final quarter of 2012.
