Google all but confirms Jelly Bean Android moniker

Teaser
Google is dropping large hints about its next Android version's codename through the use of a large jar of jelly beans

Google's infatuation with naming their Android versions after yummy desserts first began with version 1.5 Cupcake, but has also included Donut (1.6), Eclair (2.0) Froyo (2.2), Gingerbread (2.3). Honeycomb (3.0) and Ice Cream Sandwich (4.0). Now with the next version of Android in development, the pattern looks set to continue, and may extend to include the ever-colorful Jelly Bean.

It had been previously rumored that the upcoming Android version would be named Jelly Bean, and Google has dropped another hint at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. According to The Vergevisitors to Google's private meeting room were greeted by a large jar of jelly beans cleverly placed in front of a large Android logo.

Unfortunately, Android Senior VP, Andy Rubin, refused to confirm the Jelly Bean codename, but there's a bit too much smoke to believe that the candy is only there to entice members of the press.
