iQOO has announced that it will launch a successor to the Z3 mid-range smartphone on September 23, 2021. Therefore, its debut is not so far away now. Regardless, the brand is dropping strong hints as to its most important specs.
For example, the brand has already revealed that it will get one of the latest sub-premium 5G SoCs, juxtaposed with high-end RAM and storage specs, as well as Hi-Res Audio-tuned stereo speakers. The display to be driven by this combination has also been confirmed to have a high-end 120Hz refresh rate, powered by a 5,000mAh battery.
Therefore, the Z5 will match its flagship 8-series counterparts in this respect. However, further details about its screen remain a mystery: the new E5 AMOLED seen in iQOO's latest premium options seems to good to hope for.
Nevertheless, the upcoming iQOO mid-ranger is now projected to make up for that with its price. GSMArena claims to have sources that say it will start at the equivalent of ~US$410 - whereas most 2021 devices that launch with the 778G tend to go for much closer to $500.
