iMazing 3 for Windows and MacOS is now ready. It allows users to back up iPhones and iPads to a computer and to browse the backups without needing access to the backed-up device.

DigiDNA has completed work on iPhone and iPad backup software iMazing 3, which has been developed as a native program for both MacOS and Windows and is therefore an alternative to the on-board tools of Macs or the software that Apple provides for Windows.

The software backs up Apple's mobile devices to a PC on a scheduled basis both via cable and WLAN. Different backup sets can be retained and also locked so that they are not accidentally deleted.

Compared to iMazing 2, DigiDNA has fundamentally revised the software. A short test reveals that the software has become faster, especially if users want to look directly into the backup to extract data or apps.

iMazing 3's features also include a display of the battery capacity and battery cycles of the backed up devices. There are also fleet management tools for use in a company. However, the latter requires a separate license.

iMazing 3 is available from $39.99 for one device, with progressively cheaper options for two ($49.99), three ($59.99), five ($74.99) or 10 devices ($129.99).  Family and business licenses are also available. Anyone who purchased a license after 20 October 2020 can use the new version free of charge.

Further information can be found in the release notes for MacOS and the release notes for Windows.
