iPad 2 users facing iOS 9.3 activation problems

Apple iPad 2 has iOS 9.3 activation problem

Due to what appears to be activation server problems, iPad 2 users all over the world seem to be having issues when trying to activate the last-gen operating system by Apple.

Apple has unleashed the iOS 9.3 update for its devices earlier this week and now it looks like it is already causing problems. Fortunately, these problems appear to be something temporary. However, the users who really need to use their iPad 2 tablets should be very careful.

According to multiple user reports that led to an official support forum post on this matter, once iOS 9.3 is installed on the iPad 2 tablet, the activation fails and leaves the user without being able to use the tablet. The error message displayed is this - "Cannot activate because the activation server is temporarily not available." The good part is that this is for sure a temporary issue that does not occur on all iPad 2 units.

ZDNet said they tried to replicate the error but did not succeed. Other users said they had to wait even 24 hours for their iPad 2 tablets to reactivate. The two solutions found so far include iTunes in both cases, and one of them is about a full restore of the device, a distructive method that could lead to everyone losing some data as well. We will keep you posted as this situation develops.
