Google Nexus 5X is now available

The smartphone is available in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, India, Korea and Japan.

Three weeks after being officially unveiled (along with Nexus 6P and Android 6.0 Marshmallow), the LG-manufactured Nexus 5X is now available on major markets around the world via Google Store, as well as major carriers and retailers.

Today, Google announced that the Nexus 5X smartphone can now be purchased by users in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, India, Korea and Japan. Shipments will begin on October 22. Customers in other markets in Europe, Asia and Latin America will reportedly have to wait a several more weeks for their chance to purchase the handset via official distribution channels. The suggested retail price in the US is $379. Naturally, pricing will vary in different countries.

The Nexus 5X specifications are as follows:

  • 5.2-inch, 1080p display
  • Snapdragon 808 processor
  • 2 GB of RAM
  • 16 GB / 32 GB of on-board storage (partly taken by the OS)
  • 12,3 MP rear camera
  • 5 MP front camera
  • fingerprint scanner
  • 2700 mAh battery
