The seller sent us a sample for our impressions. The webcam is notable for its ability to rotate, tilt, and pivot slightly around its axis unlike most other inexpensive webcams which are typically at fixed angles. We also like that the base can attach to tripods without the need for any additional clips. These auxiliary features ensure that the eMeet webcam need not be at eye level with the user at all times.

A drawback to the webcam is its relatively heavy weight of 143 grams. If you're going to be placing the webcam on the top edge of your laptop, then there's a good chance that the weight of the webcam might pull down the display especially when typing or adjusting angles. The webcam also lacks features common on most newer laptop webcams like IR support and privacy shutters. Even so, $23.99 is not a bad deal for a webcam that is leagues better than the usual laptop webcam in terms of raw image quality.
