ZTE unveiled the Nubia Z9 Mini way back in March and is only now seeing an official launch date in Germany. The Nubia brand will be available in the country for the first time this October for 350 Euros. The smartphone already made its debut in India earlier this year.
The LTE-enabled Nubia Z9 Mini will carry the following specifications:
- Display: 5-inch FHD
- CPU: Qualcomm Snapdragon 615
- GPU: Adreno 405
- Cameras: 16 MP Sony IMX234 Exmor RS f/2.0 rear, 8 MP Sony IMX179 Exmore R f/2.4 front
- Thickness: 8 mm
ZTE is expected to have the device on display this coming IDF in Berlin. The Chinese manufacturer will have its booth on Hall 25 and at Stand #105. The removable back cover of the smartphone comes in many flavors ranging in colors, designs, and surface features. It uses an aluminum frame despite its non-unibody design.
The main competitor to the Nubia Z9 Mini will be the Moto X Play and its 5.5-inch FHD screen, 21 MP rear camera, and 3630 mAh battery for roughly the same starting price and launch times. Of course, the Motorola smartphone is also heavier (169 g vs 147 g) and thicker (10.9 mm vs. 8.2 mm).
