You can still get the Starlink Standard dish for $149 in these US states

In a bid to reel in more users to Starlink satellite internet, SpaceX has extended its Regional Savings program for the Starlink Standard dish in the US through April 30. The program, which allows users in select US states to avail a flat $200 discount on the Standard Kit, was announced last month and was initially set to end on March 31.

Starlink.com has updated its landing page for the Residential plan to reflect that users in select areas can still grab the Starlink Standard dish for as low as $149 until April 30. All you have to do is go to Starlink.com/residential, enter an eligible address, and the $200 discount will be automatically applied at checkout. If you prefer buying from third-party retailers like Best Buy or Walmart, you can still take advantage of the offer. But instead of an upfront price reduction, you'll receive the $200 discount as service credits to your Starlink account after you activate the dish with the Residential or Residential Lite plan. 

The Regional Savings promo is currently available in 27 US states and you can check out the full list of eligible areas below. It's worth noting that even within the eligible states, network capacity limitations could mean some specific locations don't qualify for the offer.

Keep in mind that if you avail the offer and then move your service address outside the eligible zone, change your plan, or cancel within the first 30 days without returning the hardware, Starlink warns it will slap you with a $300 fee.

The decision to extend the promotion is a clear signal that SpaceX is prioritizing the Standard Kit, even as the price disparity between the Standard Kit and portable Starlink Mini continues to grow. As we explored in our previous coverage, although the Mini was promised to be a cheaper alternative to the Standard Kit, it continues to remain a pricey proposition in the US and the gap between the Standard Kit and Mini is now wider than ever ($149 vs $499).
