SpaceX's ultra-portable Starlink Mini dish has just hit its lowest price ever, making that dream of reliable internet in the middle of nowhere a little more attainable for RV nomads. Walmart is currently offering the Starlink Mini kit for a shockingly low $369.90, a whopping $229.10 discount off its original $599 price. If you've been holding off for a serious price cut on the portable dish, now is the time to hit that buy button.
We've seen discounts on the Mini before, with prices dropping to $499 and $480—and even $449 during the holiday sale. But this latest price cut is by far the biggest we've tracked, finally solidifying the Mini's position as a more competitive alternative to the Standard dish for users prioritizing portability. Starlink.com currently lists the dish for $499, while Best Buy is selling it for $480.
The Starlink Mini is undeniably cool. Its compact, portable design and ease of use (the whole setup can be powered by a portable power bank), make it a dream for off-grid adventures and RV nomads. It's about the size of an average laptop and boasts an all-in-one design that combines the dual-band Wi-Fi router and satellite dish. Performance-wise, users can expect download speeds ranging from 20Mbps to 100Mbps and upload speeds up to 25Mbps. Service plans for the Mini start at $50 per month for the Mini Roam plan, which includes 50GB of data, while an unlimited data plan is available for $150 per month. There's also a new $10 plan that offers 10GB of high-speed data.
If portability is not a top priority, the Starlink Standard Kit might be a better deal for you. As part of its Regional Savings program, SpaceX is currently offering the Standard dish for as low as $149 in select US states until March 31.
