UK-based car leasing company Zenith is celebrating after reaching its 100-percent fleet electrification goals five years ahead of schedule.

Zenith can boast a 100-percent company fleet five years early, fulfilling part of its EV100 commitments. The vehicle leasing company joined the initiative in 2020 and has been working to eliminate fossil-powered automobiles from its corporate cars.

Ian Hughes, CEO of Zenith’s Corporate and Consumer divisions, explains his company’s sustainable mobility drive: “The impacts of climate change are being felt now more than ever before, and we recognise the importance leasing companies have on the UK’s journey to net zero.

Since becoming a member of the EV100 in 2020, we’ve worked hard to drive true change, and I am proud that we have achieved a key milestone, reaching our 100% BEV colleague company car goal five years ahead of the initiative’s planned schedule.

Apart from smashing its own carbon-emission reduction goals, Zenith is also helping its customers go electric and reach net zero.

The EV100 initiative, the brainchild of Climate Group, aims to accelerate the transition to zero-tailpipe emission mobility and make EVs the new normal by the end of the decade. The program participants agree to electrify their company fleets and provide EV charging opportunities for staff and customers.
