TobenONE has introduced a modular and customizable charging hub. Different types of devices can be charged wirelessly, but this accessory can also be used to control a computer or laptop.

TobenONE is currently crowdfunding a new flexible charging gadget on Kickstarter. Supporters can reserve the hub base with three slots and individual modules for $76, and there are many other configurations available.

However, potential backers should take a look at the shipping terms and consider the risks of crowdfunding campaigns before placing their order. That said, it should be noted that TobenONE is not an entirely new or unknown company.

Magnetic mount and limited charging power

The accessory consists of a base station that measures either 13.5 or 9.7 inches in length and has three or four slots. Magnets hold the corresponding modules in place, and several modules are available. These include a module with two USB Type-A and one USB Type-C port, modules with three USB Type-C or three USB Type-A ports each, and a module for wireless charging with up to 15 watts.

This 15-watt limit applies both to wireless charging and the total charging output, which might be a noteworthy limitation in practice. Many current premium smartphones and power banks can charge much quicker, so it may take considerably longer than it would otherwise.

Controls and data transfer via USB

The TobenONE Magnetic Hub can do more than charge other devices. One particular module features a rotary knob that allows users to easily adjust volume. Another module comes with four buttons, each of which can be programmed for a specific function, such as locking a desktop PC or stopping and resuming media playback.

So the gadget can be used to control a connected computer, but it’s also a USB hub that can transfer data to an external hard drive or SSD, for instance. The Magnetic Hub is scheduled to ship in February 2026, which indicates that product development should be pretty much finished.
