Pocketpair has officially announced Tides of Terraria, a major crossover event for Palworld, arriving as part of the game’s v0.6 update this summer. The event marks a major collaboration between two of the survival genre’s biggest hits - Palworld and Terraria.
As per the reports, Tides of Terraria introduces a wide range of new gameplay features designed to expand the Palworld universe. According to Pocketpair, this includes -
- Terraria mobs that players can catch, train, fight, and put to work just like traditional Pals
- New Pals exclusive to the Tides of Terraria update
- Brand-new islands to explore
- Additional content teased to be revealed in the coming weeks
This isn’t just a cosmetic crossover - Terraria creatures will be deeply integrated into Palworld’s core mechanics, offering fresh strategies and challenges. The collaboration is aimed at fans of both franchises and is positioned as one of Palworld’s most ambitious updates to date.
The announcement comes amid ongoing legal friction with The Pokémon Company, which has accused Pocketpair of IP infringement. In response, the developers have altered certain mechanics, including the iconic throwable Pal Spheres, to avoid legal roadblocks and keep development on track.
Palworld is currently available in Early Access on Steam, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Microsoft Store, and Game Pass. At the moment, a limited-time 25% discount is available on Steam until Monday, May 19th.
