The supposedly biggest Pokémon trading card shop in the world has opened
According to Kotaku, the purportedly largest Pokémon trading card shop in the entire world has opened this summer in Japan. In an official statement, the shop owner claims to have the world's best selection of Pokémon cards (from US$4 on Amazon), as well as well-trained personel which is perfectly prepared to talk to customers about buying and selling the popular trading cards. Customers of the store can also enjoy five different floors, which all serve a specific purpose.
The most recent Pokémon cards for example are on display on the first floor, whereas the second floor is dedicated to older, more rare Pokémon cards that should be of interest for collectors. On the other floors, there are overall 88 seats available for people who want to play with their Pokémon cards. Even though these seats remain mostly empty due to the current restrictions, the Hureruya shop has a lot to offer for fans and collectors of Pokémon trading cards.
The owner also stated that they have recently launched an online shop, which means that Pokémon cards can also be comfortably ordered over the internet. It remains to be seen if a specialty shop of this size could someday soon open outside of Japan, especially since there has lately been a huge hype around Pokémon trading cards due to their skyrocketing value.
