If you are one of those gamers tired of the mane titles set in a zombie-infested post-apocalyptic world, then Remnant: From the Ashes might just be your thing. Currently in the development stage, this game is a third-person survival title where players set out alone or in teams of up to four players "to explore and survive the perils of diverse and deadly environments."
The story behind the game does not sound bad at all. The introduction present on the official website of Remnant: From the Ashes reads the following: "The world is in ruins. Only a remnant of mankind remains, hunted to near extinction by horrors from another world. Most of humanity live like rats in the rubble of devastated cities. A few survivors with the technology to open portals to fantastic, alternate worlds venture out each day hoping to scavenge resources and find a way to defeat the invaders."
Remnant: From the Ashes will be available on Xbox, PlayStation, and Windows 10. The details are still sketchy, but we already know that the game will include dozens of monsters with unique looks and capabilities, the worlds will be dynamically generated and each one will come with its own challenges to overcome, while the players will be able to upgrade their gear, level up their skills, choose various specializations, and so on.
The trailer below does not reveal much, but it definitely looks interesting. A playable demo will be available for those who will attend Gamescom or PAX West next month, so stay tuned for the upcoming in-game trailers.
