The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 revealed as being not that repairable in first teardown video
PBK Reviews has disassembled Samsung's other latest foldable smartphone, the Galaxy Z Flip 3. Last week, the YouTuber tore down the Galaxy Z Fold 3, but he has gone further this time around. Specifically, PBK Reviews has removed the former's flexible AMOLED display, arguably its most expensive component.
As the video below shows, Samsung has used an awful lot of graphite pads to keep the Galaxy Z Flip 3 cool. Unfortunately, the company also continues to firmly install its batteries, as with the Galaxy Z Fold 3. Consequently, PBK Reviews awards the Galaxy Z Flip 3 a 4 out of 10 for repairability.
Nonetheless, the Galaxy Z Flip 3 should be sturdier than its predecessor, or predecessors if you count the Galaxy Z Flip and Galaxy Z Flip 5G as two devices. For example, Samsung has IPx8 certified its latest clamshell smartphone, which gives it a degree of water resistance. Better yet, PBK Reviews managed to re-assemble the Galaxy Z Flip 3 after removing its thin display, underlining the device's longevity somewhat.
