The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild may be over four years old at this point, but the game remains popular with fans. Its popularity is as such that a YouTuber called Nassim's Software has developed an interactive map of Hyrule, which he markets as a Google Maps for Zelda enthusiasts.
The map could be useful for people just getting into Breath of the Wild (BotW) too though, as it includes a form of Google Street View. Currently, Nassim's Software has implemented roughly two-dozen locations, allowing you to visit key areas without firing up the game. The developer hopes that the Zelda BotW community will submit more Street View panoramas in the future, too.
As the video below explains, Nassim's Software captured 360° panorama images via a Wii U emulator before combining several images from the same location using AutoStitch. The video also explains how to recreate a Google Street View-style map with open source tools, which could be helpful for similar projects utilising other games.
