Samsung launched the Galaxy A12 for market such as Europe in Novemer 2020. It offers features such as a 6.5-inch LCD display, 48+5+2+2MP cameras and a 5,000mAh battery for as little as ~US$170. Then again, its OEM lets these positive attributes down with an aging MediaTek Helio P35 SoC and RAM/storage options that start at an anachronistic 3GB/32GB configuration. Nevertheless, its cost-effective nature might also make it attracitve to many other markets worldwide, India included.
These potential hopes might be on the brink of being realized: MySmartPrice claims to have heard from an "exclusive" source that the A12 will see an Indian launch in what could be the next few days. Then again, Samsung is also rumored to launch (or at least extensivly tease) the 7,000mAh Galaxy F62 in the same general window. It might not want what could be a second crowd-pleaser drawing focus from this event.
Furthermore, there is also a Galaxy M12 in 2021 now, which can be called a beefed-up A12 with the Exynos 850 and a 6,000mAh battery. It has been launched in Vietnam, and may also thus be a popular prospect in India. At any rate, this week coming (which starts on February 8, 2021, the date set for the Xiaomi Mi 11's global launch) is shaping up to be an exciting one for smartphones.
